The three items I would choose if I had to pick only three would be: my bible, computer, and Christian music.
I chose my computer because I use the computer a lot. I pay bills online, do my taxes, research things, read emails, play games, and do my school work online. I chose my bible because it helps me to stay focused on my faith and what God wants for my life. The bible and Christian music both help lift me up when I am down, and helps to give me strength through the day.
I would probably be torn about having to let go of some of my most valued resources. It would be difficult for me to choose but I would have to keep my bible out of the three.
Insights I gained from the assignment: The assignment made me think about what items are of the most importance to me and the daily culture that I live in. It would not be easy having to choose only three items.
Crystal I have to agree about the Bible being an important piece in the three items that I can take with me if a disaster were to happen. My faith is the piece that was instilled in me as a child by my grandmother, so the Bible plays a huge piece in leaving a Godly legacy for my own family. This is an important piece of family culture.
ReplyDeleteI find it very interesting that you would bring your computer, as I didn't even consider any type of technology to bring along with me. It seems that technology is a big part of your life and I was very intrigued to see that paying your bills on the internet was the first item listed. Is there a reason for that, or was it a subconscious choice I wonder? Thank you for sharing this week!
ReplyDeleteI love the items that you choose. The bible is a really good one , I wish I could change my list so that I can add the bible. I'm also a lover of good Christian music. Your items seem like they would be very encouraging in a time of catastrophe. Thanks for sharing :)
