One hope that I have when working with children and families who come from diverse backgrounds is that they will feel welcomed. I want them to feel that they can share personal information with me about themselves or their children.
A goal that I would like to set for the early childhood field related to issues of diversity, equity, and social justice is that everyone will respect each other's culture, and to be able to learn from one another through interactions and sharing our experiences with one another.
I would like to thank all of my colleagues for all the information, insights, and experiences you have shared with me during the course. I feel we have learned a lot about diversity during this course together.
Hi Crystal,
ReplyDeleteYou will do a wonderful job helping diverse families. After we Graduate from Walden University I am sure that we will be a pro at what we do best! Good luck

I agree with you, we have learned a lot during these eight weeks. This is the kind of classes that I love, the one that challenges you as a human being as well as a professional. We might not realize it, but both lives entwined with each other; both can affect the other in certain way. Good luck as well.
ReplyDeletehi Crystal
ReplyDeleteI agree we learn a lot over the past eight week. Thank you for sharing insight and view point I wish success in the future.
Crystal,
ReplyDeleteI think that the hope of everyone respecting each other cultures and learning from one another is quite a tall order, even if it doesn't seem like it. Unfortunately there are many out there who don't share your view, and I wonder how we would all handle that type of situation, and if it would be different than we would have in the beginning of this class... I think that we have really just scratched the surface of this topic and look forward to learning even more in the future. Good luck in the future and all you choose to do.
